Our popular and limited series, Trust the Process, features coffees that have been processed meticulously by farmers who hold a passion for perfection. With help from our friends at Café Kreyol, we sourced this delicious fruit-forward coffee from the Kasama region of Zambia. This experimental process coffee is hand picked and sorted then fermented for 24 hours before being depulped, washed, and dried.
Tasting Notes
Form meets function in the classically beautiful Chemex brewer. Grind size is critical when brewing with this method since the brew bed can get large. Use a coarser grind to experience bright and floral fruit notes.
This extended fermentation washed coffee comes from the NCCL Estate, located in the Kasama region of Zambia. With farms on elevations between 1300 and 1600 MASL, this region is ideal for high quality coffee.
Along with efforts to continuously improve quality, NCCL is dedicated to the future of coffee growing in the region through a wide variety of social and economic initiatives. The Estate is known for building new schools, providing housing for migrant workers, paying a higher premium to growers, funding local medication dispensaries, and promoting gender equality and specialized training.
