Shipping

An order placed through the Red Rooster website gets roasted and shipped to-order, typically on the following business day. Orders shipped via USPS will leave our premises first thing the following morning.

For example, if you place your order at 9am EST on Friday, your order will roast on Monday and ship on Tuesday morning. If you place your order Monday morning at 9am, it will roast on Tuesday and ship on Wednesday.

Weekends, sales and holidays will often delay shipments by a day or more.


It will be approximately 24 hours between when we print your shipping label and your order hits the mail stream. However, presumably because we are located in a very rural area, it is often 3 or more days before packages that leave our facility register at a USPS distribution center.

No one wants their coffee to arrive stale after having an adventure ranging from Chicago to Florida and then on to you.

If, after a minimum of 7 days from the date of label creation, your order is not showing up in the USPS tracking system, you can file a Missing Mail ticket with the USPS.

We suggest scrolling down to start at the Missing Mail ticket, rather than filing a help request.

Also, there are no USPS food products available in their form, so we usually say we are looking for coffee makers.

Once a ticket is filed, either your order will "magically" appear somewhere in the USPS system, at your door, or you will get notice that you package is lost.

Regardless of the outcome of your request, if you have not received your coffee within 2 weeks of the shipment date, please contact us directly at support@redroostercoffeeroaster.com or (540) 745-7338 ext. 2 for assistance.

Unfortunately, packages do go astray sometimes.

However, it has been our experience that most mis-delivered packages were either accidentally delivered nearby or have not actually been delivered yet and will show up in a day or two.

We ask that the first step you take is to locate your local post office or postal delivery person. They are best situated to find out what may have happened to your order.

The Fix ships on the first Friday AFTER the first Wednesday of the month.

If you place your Fix subscription order after the First of the month, your first shipment will go out with the next month's orders.

Local Pickup

First, thanks for your order!

Please, wait to receive your "order ready for pickup" notification before making the trip to the Cafe to pick up your online order.

We do not have pre-bagged coffee in stock in our production space. Rather, your coffee is roasted-to-order and will be prepared in the order it was received.

International Shipping

Yes, as of October 2024, Red Rooster ships via UPS to 26 countries.

For the sake of the sanity of our accounting and productions teams, only coffee, tea and select Red Rooster merchandise will ship across borders. Syrup will also ship, but only to Canada and Mexico.

In order to maintain the clearest transparency, we have worked with UPS to make sure that all Duties and Taxes are paid up front. However, while you should not expect further charges, there is always a chance that UPS has miscalculated, or Duty and Tax laws have changed and the system has not been updated.

Updating Payment Methods

Red Rooster allows customers to save cards on file using the Shop app. If a customer wants to change their Shop Pay account information, then they need to sign in to Shop Pay with their Red Rooster account registered email address before updating their information. Customers can also opt out of Shop Pay at any time if they no longer want to use the service. For any questions or concerns about using Shop Pay, customers can visit the Shop Help Center.

If you have a subscription that needs updated payment method, you probably received an email with a link letting you know that your method needs to be updated. There are links directly to your subscription account directly in your subscription update emails or in your Red Rooster account through the "Manage Subscriptions" link.

If your subscription is linked to a Shop Pay account, you will need to update your payment information in the Shop app. Sign in to Shop Pay with your registered email address to update your information. You can also opt out of Shop Pay at any time if you no longer want to use the service. For any questions or concerns about using Shop Pay, customers can visit the Shop Help Center.

Cancellations & Returns

Because we roast-to-ship, typically within 24 hours of receiving your order, we may not be able to cancel your order. Contact us as soon as you realize that your undesired order has gone through and we will attempt to rectify the situation. However, if your order has left the building, we cannot offer a refund on your order.

If you have a subscription, please make sure that you have added our email, sales@redroostercoffeeroaster.com, to your contacts so that upcoming order notifications and order confirmations are not sent to your Spam folder. Links in these emails will allow you to update, reschedule and cancel your subscription at any time. Subscription orders that have posted and shipped will not be refunded.

We get it. Sometimes a coffee just isn't to your liking. While we don't take returns, we always invite you to share the unwanted coffee with a friend, (or donate when possible). We'd love to help you in your coffee journey, so shoot us an email and we’ll make it right.

Whereas we hope you never need to make a return or exchange, here at Red Rooster Coffee we totally get that sometimes these policies are just necessary.

Coffee:
We do not offer returns or exchanges on our coffee as all of our coffee is roasted to order for peak fresh enjoyment!

Pre-paid subscriptions:
We will offer a partial refund for pre-paid gift and annual subscriptions (the Fix and Rotating annual subscriptions) based on the duration of the subscription minus the 1-bag monthly subscription price for that subscription for each bag already sent and the retail price for free gear.

Apparel/Gear:
Apparel and gear may be returned for a refund or exchanged within 30 days of purchase as long as the items are still in unwashed sale condition. Products damaged in shipping may be replaced with evidence of damage upon receipt. Please contact support@redroostercoffeeroaster.com for information on how to initiate your return, exchange or refund.

Brewing Equipment:
We do not accept returns/exchanges on any of our brewing equipment or products that are opened or have a manufacturer warranty. What we can do is bridge the connection between you and the warranty company!

Subscriptions

The Fix is a curated coffee subscription that roasts and ships only once a month. For the Fix, Red Rooster picks rare and unique coffees from around the world and ships them to your door; one chocolate-forward roast and one fruit-forward roast are available each month.

In a Classic subscription, you may choose a steady stream of your favorite coffees from our current signature blends and long-term seasonal single origin offerings.

Within the Classics you could also spice it up a little by signing up for a rotating subscription, which brings you up to 4 different coffees per shipment from either our Signature Blends collection or our selection of seasonal single origin roasts, as available.

Well, for some of them.

Monthly subscriptions that come in under the current minimum purchase for free shipping will be charged the current carrier rate for shipping.

Pre-paid subscriptions, including The Fix, Annual Rotating Subscriptions, and Gift Subscriptions will not be charged shipping.

If you combine a Classic or monthly subscription with a pre-paid subscription, you will not pay shipping.

Unless explicitly stated, discounts cannot be applied towards the purchase of gift cards or coffee subscriptions.

Because our subscription system is separate from our regular online shop, a checkout may be rejected if a subscription is combined with other items and a coupon code is attempted.

Rotating Signature Blends: we’ll send you a rotating cast of our signature blends like our Farmhouse Breakfast Blend along with seasonal additions like our Father’s Day blend or our Holiday blends. We offer a recurring monthly or a pre-paid annual rotating subscription. The annual subscription offers free shipping and a discount on the coffee.

Rotating Single Origins: For those of you who love the opportunity to try coffees from around the world and compare flavor profiles, try out this option - a rotating cast of seasonal coffees from our current single origin offerings. We offer a rotating monthly or a prepaid annual rotating single origin subscription. The annual subscription offers free shipping and a discount on the coffee.

Individual Classic Selection: Already know the exact coffee you want? Awesome! Pick from the available year-round coffees and receive a 10% discount on every order. All Classic subscriptions are recurring monthly subscriptions and shipping applies until the minimum purchase amount is reached. Individual Classic subscriptions are also available in 12oz, 2lb, and 5lb options.

Gift Subscriptions: Our 3-, 6-, and 12-month gift subscriptions work in the same way as the Rotating Subscriptions in that the recipient of your gift will receive a different bag of Red Rooster Signature Blends, Holiday Blends and Single Origin coffees. We just love it when you share the love!

Subscribe by Usage: Powered by Bottomless gets you a Bottomless scale and a never-ending supply of your favorite Red Rooster coffees without the Bottomless membership fees. Once you sign up, Bottomless will send you a scale that you use to manage when your next order will post--based on how much coffee you use--so you never run out! Sync the scale with your WiFi network once, then leave your coffee bag on it. The scale then learns from your consumption and re-orders for you at just the right time. A Subscribe by Usage subscription is managed in a separate Bottomless account.

The short answer is no. the Fellow or MoccaMaster gifts are part of the first annual subscription. They are not included in subsequent renewals.

However, annual Fix plans are priced such that each stage in the plan includes a significant overall reduced cost for the subscription, whether is your first subscription, or your 10th renewal.

No. Physical gift cards must be purchased through the cafe and can only be redeemed in the cafe, not online.

Unless explicitly stated, discounts cannot be used towards the purchase of gift cards or coffee subscriptions.

Gift cards purchased online are e-Gift cards, which means that you (or the email associated with your order) will receive an email with a redeemable code enclosed.

If this was purchased for someone else, you may forward the email, or print it to have a hard-copy.

e-Gift cards are only redeemable at www.redroostercoffee.com.
