One dollar from each retail bag sold of Grateful Coffee will benefit the "Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin" and their COVID-19 recovery efforts. We’ve chosen to direct these funds to Elder Service Support. Tribal elders often need assistance with minor home repairs, specialty equipment to remain in their homes, and other unplanned expenses. Usually, the Aging Department manages these requests with money from the Tribe's casino, but because of COVID, the casino has been closed for long periods of time. When we all heard about the state of Wisconsin's recent struggles with the pandemic coupled with the terrible struggles that Native communities have had with the virus, we wanted to do something to help. Helping this hard-hit community is close to our hearts, since our project manager, Tully Anderson, is a tribe member.
In addition to our Thanksgiving blend, we have also launched a separate fundraiser for the Menominee Family Services Program to assist at-risk children with clothing and hygiene needs. We will donate 100% of the profits from the sale of a brand new Red Rooster t-shirt sold exclusively through Bonfire to this cause. Founded in 2012 and based in Richmond, VA, Bonfire is a free online platform that was created to be an easy solution for communities to fundraise online with t-shirts.
Our limited t-shirt, "World's Least Bad Coffee" is available for purchase here.
